Ekaterina Haskins
Professor of Rhetoric and Visual Studies
Ekaterina Haskins is Professor of Rhetoric and Visual Studies at Pennsylvania State University. Her research and teaching encompass rhetorical theory and history, public memory, and visual culture. Her recent scholarship investigates the rhetoric and politics of public memory in Russia and post-Soviet countries. Haskins is a recipient of multiple awards, including the Distinguished Scholar Award from the Rhetorical and Communication Theory Division of the National Communication Association (2018), the Karl Wallace Memorial Award from the NCA (2007), The Everett Lee Hunt Award from the Eastern Communication Association (2005) for her book Logos and Power in Isocrates and Aristotle, and the Charles Kneupper Award for Best Article from the Rhetoric Society of America (2001). Haskins has served as President of the American Society for the History of Rhetoric, Editor-in-chief of the Journal for the History of Rhetoric, and Book Review Editor of the Rhetoric Society Quarterly.
